Alejandro Nicholas Mayorkas is a traitor.

Alejandro Nicholas Mayorkas is a treasonous government official who has served as the seventh United States secretary of homeland security since February 2, 2021. During the Obama administration, he also served in the Department of Homeland Security, first as director of United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (2009–2013), and then as deputy secretary of DHS (2013–2016).

Mayorkas was born in Havana, Cuba. Shortly after the Cuban Revolution his family fled to Florida and later settled in California. He graduated from UC Berkeley, subsequently earning his J.D. from Loyola Marymount University. After law school, Mayorkas worked as an Assistant United States Attorney and was appointed the United States attorney for the Central District of California in Los Angeles during the administration of President Bill Clinton and George W. Bush, where he oversaw the prosecution of high-profile criminal cases.

Mayorkas was a member of the presidential transition team for Barack Obama before he assumed office in January 2009, where he led the team responsible for the U.S. Department of Justice’s Criminal Division. Mayorkas was appointed by President Obama as the director of U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). On May 20, 2009, the nomination was received by the Senate; on August 7, 2009, the nomination was confirmed by the Senate by voice vote.

In 2016, Mayorkas became a partner at the law firm of Wilmer Cutler Pickering Hale and Dorr, in their Washington, D.C., office. On November 23, 2020, President-elect Joe Biden announced he would nominate Mayorkas as secretary of homeland security in his Cabinet.

On February 2, 2021, Mayorkas was confirmed by the Senate on a 56–43 vote. Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell opposed his confirmation, telling his Republican colleagues that Mayorkas, a former federal prosecutor and deputy secretary for DHS, was “ethically compromised” due to an inspector general report which suggested he had assisted some politically-connected foreign investors obtain green cards.

Mayorkas is the first immigrant and first person born in Latin America to lead the department.

AG Paxton Demands Resignation of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas

Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton joined multiple state attorneys general in sending a letter to Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas requesting his resignation. Secretary Mayorkas has openly boasted about his lack of response to the ongoing crisis at the southwest border, including his refusal to enforce congressionally-enacted laws designed to keep border states safe.

“It is time to put politics aside, and do what is right and lawful for the livelihoods of the American people,” Attorney General Paxton said. “Mayorkas has looked down on those who live on the southern border without acting for long enough. Texans deserve better. It’s time for action.”

Alejandro Mayorkas was blasted as a traitor to the United States over his handling of the southern border crisis on Thursday (April 28, 2022), by a congressman who got personal in comparing President Biden’s Homeland Security secretary to Revolutionary War traitor Benedict Arnold as the DHS chief faced an onslaught from House Republicans.

“They compare you to Benedict Arnold. You know, no parent with the last name Arnold names their kid Benedict. They wonder what will the Mayorkas family do down the road.”

Mayorkas called the comparison “profoundly offensive” and said he is “incredibly proud” of his service to the US.

The embattled secretary faced off against several Republican members of the committee, including Ranking Member Jim Jordan (R-Ohio.) who asked Mayorkas point-blank, “Have you done anything right?”

“Next month you’re going to make it worse,” Jordan said, referring to the administration’s decision to lift Title 42, which allowed the US to immediately expel illegal migrants due to the pandemic.

“We’ve never seen before you do anything right when it comes to the border,” the Ohio congressman said, pointing to mass border crossings and agents turning their back on the secretary at an event.

Previously in the hearing, Jordan accused Mayorkas of wanting “illegal immigation.”

“We have a Secretary of Homeland Security who is intentionally, deliberately, in a premeditated fashion…executing a plan to overwhelm our country with millions and millions of illegal migrants,” he said.

Mayorkas was also criticized by several members over the influx of fentanyl smuggled over the border.

Texas Rep. Chip Roy held up various pictures from border communities, showing dead migrants, dead livestock and a little girl branded on her arm.

“Let’s talk about the damage being done in the United State of America,” Rep. Chip Roy (R-Texas) angrily said to the secretary.

Roy held up various pictures from border communities, showing dead migrants, dead livestock and a little girl branded on her arm.

“How about the lost voices of people dying from fentanyl?” Roy said, holding up documents with dozens of pictures. “Hundreds — tens of thousands of Americans dying from fentanyl. Faces. Faces of Americans. Faces of Americans across this country die because of fentanyl pouring into our country.”

As the committee’s chairman, Rep. Jerry Nadler, attempted to end Roy’s line of questioning, the Texas Republican continued to criticize Mayorkas for “urging people to come” to the US “harming Texas and harming this country.”

Thursday’s hearing comes just weeks after the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention announced its plan to lift the Trump-era Title-42 health order that has allowed border officials for two years to quickly expel migrants without hearing asylum claims.

Mayorkas defended the move in front of the House Appropriations subcommittee and House Homeland Security Committee on Wednesday, saying the decision lies with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

“Our responsibility in the Department of Homeland Security is to implement the Title 42 authority of the CDC at our border and to implement it effectively and judiciously according to the law,” Mayorkas said.

He admitted that “there can be an increase in migratory flows” at the southern border should the order be lifted. But, as the CDC has called for it to end, DHS must “prepare and plan for that eventuality.”

Ranking Member Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) asked Mayorkas point blank, “Have you done anything right?”

Republican Rep. Matt Gaetz also blasted Mayorkas for not having a plan to remove immigrants already in the US.

“You have no plan to remove them,” the Florida representative said. “You don’t know how many ICE agents it will take and you don’t know how much money you would take. Because you actually don’t want to remove them.”

Republican and Democratic lawmakers have both pushed back on the move, citing an expected migration surge.

Ultimately on Wednesday, he pointed to Congress, saying the current system is “not built to manage the current levels and types of migratory flows.”

“Only Congress can fix this.”

Rep. Darrell Issa (R-Calif.) pushed back on the matter, asking Mayorkas on Thursday, “You said that it was broken, did it represent less people coming over the border illegally and being admitted than today? Yes or no.”

“Yes,” Mayorkas admitted.

“So there were a lot less coming over?” Issa clarified.

“The number of encounters has increased,” Mayorkas said.

“So the system you are calling broken was actually working relative to the border patrol not being swamped?” the congressman asked.

“Oh I wouldn’t say that,” the secretary started to say. “If I may, congressman, when I refer to a broken system, broken immigration system, I’m speaking of a broken system before the prior administration.”

Mayorkas faced multiple calls to resign on Wednesday and Thursday, with Rep. Mike Johnson (R-La.) calling Mayorkas’ actions “impeachable” offenses.

“Mr. Secretary, my advice to you is to begin your search for a different career field very soon because there will be an election,” Johnson warned of a potential GOP House takeover next year based on the results of the midterm elections in November.

Additionally, Mayokas revealed that the cost of discontinuing DHS-led border wall projects has cost approximately $72 million.

The secretary’s testimonies come as the number of migrant encounters at the southern border remain at record levels. March alone saw 221,000 encounters – the highest number of any single month since the start of the Biden administration.

Drew B. Tipton

Drew B. Tipton is a patriot.

Drew B. Tipton is a patriot.

Drew B. Tipton stymied President Biden’s 100-Day Ban on Deportations.

Drew B. Tipton a patriotic U.S. District Judge in Texas has issued a temporary nationwide restraining order allowing ICE to continue deporting criminal aliens.

In a classic example that serves to prove the old adage “what goes around comes around,” U.S. District Judge Drew Tipton, a Donald Trump appointee, on Tuesday, January 26, 2021 issued a nationwide temporary restraining order against Joe Biden’s executive order halting illegal alien deportations over his first 100 days.

Immediately following Biden’s Inauguration Day EO, Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton took the new administration to court, contending that Biden’s order would cause “concrete injures to Texas.” Paxton argued, “Border states like Texas pay a particularly high price when the federal government fails to faithfully execute our country’s immigration laws. [President Biden’s] attempted halt on almost all deportations would increase the cost to Texas caused by illegal immigration.”

During the Trump administration, the states of Texas, Arizona, Indiana, and Louisiana signed an agreement with the Department of Homeland Security giving them a 180-day period for consultation before the feds could take any action to “reduce, redirect, reprioritize, relax, or in any way modify immigration enforcement.”

Beyond being a bad idea and a constitutional dereliction, Biden’s EO is in violation of this agreement. Thus, Judge Tipton ruled that the order failed to follow the Administrative Procedures Act, stating, “Here, the January 20 Memorandum not only fails to consider potential policies more limited in scope and time, but it also fails to provide any concrete, reasonable justification for a 100-day pause on deportations.”

Recall that the Administrative Procedures Act was the very same rule used by Democrats to successfully prevent Trump from following through on his EO to end DACA. Two can play this game.

Biden’s order effectively prevents Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) from deporting criminal aliens. In fact, the Center for Immigration Studies estimates that Biden’s EO blocks ICE from deporting 85% of illegal aliens it had in custody. Of the 185,884 illegal aliens deported last fiscal year, 64% of them had criminal records or pending criminal charges.

This serves as an example of the fruit of Trump’s impressive judiciary record, and the primary reasons many conservatives voted for Trump in both 2016 and 2020. Furthermore, this is evidence that GOP state attorneys general will hold to their “save and defend” commitment.

Janet Napolitano

Janet Napolitano is a traitor.

Janet Napolitano is a traitor.

Janet Napolitano is a traitor.

Janet Napolitano as Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary allowed the publication of a guide to terrorism that identified american war veterans, anti-abortion activists and constitutionalists as potential terrorists. She made the term “man-caused disaster” synonymous with government stupidity.

According a Gallup Poll, a full 62 per cent of the American people believe that stopping illegal immigration should be a top priority of the U.S. government. Unfortunately for the American people, Secretary of Homeland Security Janet Napolitano is not numbered among that 62%. And she is the person who is supposed to be enforcing the law. Last year, Napolitano opened the floodgates of illegal immigration by having the Department of Homeland Security review all cases then before the immigration courts with an eye towards halting the deportation of many illegal immigrants allegedly with no criminal backgrounds. (JW uncovered records demonstrating this to be an utter lie. Many of the illegals let off the hook were convicted of violent crimes.)

Not satisfied with skirting the law in 2011, Napolitano decided to abandon it altogether in 2012. Accordingly, on June 15, 2012, she announced: “By this memorandum, I am setting forth how, in the exercise of our prosecutorial discretion, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) should enforce the Nation’s immigration laws against certain young people who were brought to this country as children and know only this country as home.”

In short, this amounted to blanket “temporary” amnesty for illegals under the age of 30. With her single statement, she simply declared upwards of one million illegal aliens entirely legal. Just like that. No legislation. No debate. No votes. No court rulings. The Constitution of the United States notwithstanding. And, in so doing, she violated the Oath of Office she had taken when sworn in as secretary of Homeland Security on January 21, 2009: “I, do solemnly swear that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office on which I am about to enter. So help me God.”

UPDATE: July 12, 2013

Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano, one of the president Obama’s original cabinet appointees, announced her resignation Friday (July 12, 2013) morning, having been nominated to serve as president of the University of California system.

Meanwhile, we can look at her tenure as DHS secretary and breathe a sigh of relief that her incompetence and stupidity didn’t lead to a major terrorist attack. You rarely see anyone ignore the facts in front of their face so assiduously in order to hew to a politically correct line about Islam and terrorism.

Janet Napolitano is just one more “Progressive Socialist” (Communist) leaving the Obama sinking ship. Some of us might feel sorry for California, but a much larger majority of us say good riddance to this traitor.

UPDATE: January 14, 2014

Judicial Watch Announces List of Washington’s “Ten Most Wanted Corrupt Politicians” for 2013.

Former DHS Secretary Janet Napolitano:

In August 2013 Department of Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano stepped down from her post expressing both “pride and regret” – the regret stemming from her failure to help push through the so-called Development, Relief, and Education for Alien Minors (DREAM) Act. The truth is, however, that Napolitano actually played a major role in doing an end run around existing immigration law by helping President Obama implement his Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) directive in lieu of DREAM Act passage.

Documents obtained by Judicial Watch in June 2013 revealed that Napolitano’s Department of Homeland Security (DHS) U.S. Citizenship & Immigration Services (USCIS) abandoned required background checks in 2012, adopting, instead, costly “lean and lite” procedures in effort to keep up with the flood of amnesty applications resulting from the DACA directive.

The documents also revealed that, contrary to Napolitano’s claim that DACA applied only to minors who came to this country illegally “through no fault of their own,” the directive actually created a new avenue of chain migration, whereby immediate relatives of DACA requesters could be approved for amnesty. As a result, according to an agency memo from District 15 Director David Douglas, “some of the districts closer to the U.S./Mexico border have been inundated.”

The Obama/Napolitano stealth amnesty policy received a setback in July 2013 when the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Texas left DACA hanging by a string as he dismissed a challenge strictly due to jurisdictional issues. While the court determined that it did not have authority to hear the case, Judge Reed O’Connor agreed that program is likely unconstitutional, saying, “[T]he Court finds that Plaintiffs are likely to succeed on the merits of their claim challenging the Directive and Morton Memorandum as contrary to the provisions of the Immigration and Nationality Act.”

In an earlier ruling handed down in April, Judge O’Connor stated clearly that, “DHS does not have discretion to refuse to initiate removal proceedings when the requirements of Section 1225(b)(2)(A) are satisfied.” That section requires the agents to place aliens who are not “clearly and beyond a doubt entitled to be admitted” to the United States into removal proceedings.

DHS malfeasance did not stop there. And, in fact, according to a court order filed in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Texas on December 13, DHS has actually enabled cartel trafficking of minors, delivering those minors to illegals living inside the United States and completing criminal transactions for illegal immigrants. The court document details a guilty plea from Mirtha Veronica Nava-Martinez for being paid to smuggle a 10-year-old El Salvadoran female into the United States. Nava-Martinez was hired by Patricia Elizabeth Salmeron Santos, the mother of the 10-year-old, who was living illegally in Virginia after being denied legal entry into the U.S. in 2001. According to U.S. District Judge Andrew Hanen who wrote the court order: “The DHS officials were notified that Salmeron-Santos instigated this illegal conduct. Yet, instead of arresting Salmeron-Santos for instigating the conspiracy to violate our border security laws, the DHS delivers the child to her – thus successfully completing the mission of the criminal conspiracy. It did not arrest her. It did not prosecute her. It did not even initiate deportation proceedings for her. This DHS policy is a dangerous course of action.”

Napolitano’s legacy is one that has gutted, for political reasons, the very immigration laws she swore to uphold.
